About Youth Girls Grade Cricket

PCC’s Girls and Women’s cricket remains a strategic priority of our board, with continued investment across our Youth Girls and Senior Women’s Programmes. Focused on creating a great player experience and supporting our members to be their best, we’re proud of all our players, their personal development, team achievements and higher honors achieved by our members.

Youth girls play in the following grades:

1. Under 13 Hardball
2. Under 16 Hardball
3. Senior Women's Grades

Team Allocations

It is club policy that Youth Girls play within their age group with any dispensations for players to play up a grade agreed by our Women & Girls Steering group. Our Pro-Coaching team will identify Senior U16 players who they believe to be capable of playing Senior Women's cricket, providing opportunities for these players throughout the season to play senior cricket. This approach is consistent with our focus on supporting the transition of Youth Girls from age group to Senior Cricket.

Our Coaches

Parnell’s Director of Women & Girls Cricket & Coaching, Emily Drumm oversees our Senior Girls and Women’s programme leading our dedicated Women & Girls' pro-coaching team.

Our pro-coaching team lead our Youth Girls Tuesday Trainings as well as our Senior Women’s Squad Trainings.

Skill development & Team Trainings

Our U13 & U16 Girls Only team trainings are held on Tuesday afternoons at either our Terry Jarvis Centre (Indoor nets) or Martyn Wilson Fields (Outdoor nets and artificial wicket).

Our Pro-Coaches lead the Youth girls’ trainings alongside our Team Coaches. Girls attending our trainings have the benefit of our pro-coaches supporting their individual skill development, balanced with a fun team training environment. Where possible our volunteer parent coaches also attend these training sessions working closely with our pro-coaching teams.

Our Senior Women's trainings are on Monday and Thursday evenings. Girls in their final year of U16 cricket are invited to attend the Senior Women's Thursday evening trainings with opportunities to also play Senior Women's grade cricket.
