Parnell Cricket Club’s Senior Men’s program caters to players seeking competitive cricket and strong team camaraderie. Our programme focuses on high-level skill enhancement and match preparedness.
Two Day Grades
Parnell Cricket Club has a Premier Men's, Premier Reserves, and Premier Thirds side, each playing in the Major competition of their respective division. The teams represent the club in the Auckland Cricket Competition which runs from October through to the end of March. The Competition includes all three formats of the game: Two Day cricket, One Day cricket along with T20 cricket. We may also have a 4XI depending on numbers.
The PCC teams are high performing, with the Premier side having won multiple trophies in recent years, and the club winning the Simmonds and Osborne trophy three times in recent seasons. The Club aims to create a high performing but fun culture, with players enjoying the game as well as the team and club environment.
Pre-season starts in late August/Early September. More details will be provided on registration.
Training & Coaching
Senior Men’s trainings for the Prems, Reserves and Thirds are held at Shore Road (often in the TJC indoor nets – ensuring we can train even in wet weather) on Tuesday and Thursday evenings led by our Pro-Coaches. All three sides have dedicated team coaches.
Aside from the Premier grades noted above, we also offer other playing opportunities.
Presidents
This grade caters to older players (Over 35’s) who still wish to play competitive cricket. Matches are one-day games held on Saturday afternoons, starting in early November and running through to the end of March. Practices for our Presidents team are on every Wednesday evening from 6pm-even during the winter months!
Championship Grades / One Day Grades
Parnell Cricket have a number of competitive Championship teams along with a number of One day teams available to join. These teams play throughout the season from Labour weekend till the end of March.
Parnell has a very keen and enthusiastic Presidents side that caters for the older (Over 35) player who still wishes to play competitive cricket
