Under 10 - Under 13 Hardball Grades

U10, U11, U12 & U13 Grade Cricket

These grades are suitable for boys and girls in Years 5 - 8.

Our Under 10, 11, 12 & 13 Hardball teams compete in morning T20 Smash Grades around greater Auckland with the competitions split regionally with other Clubs close by to minimize travel.

As a separate competition the U12 & U13 grades compete in Saturday afternoon LO30 cricket.

‍PLAYING DATES

The pre-Christmas season commences Saturday 2 November and concludes Saturday 14th December 2024

The post-Christmas season commences Saturday 8 February and concludes Saturday 29 March 2025

COMPETITION FORMAT

U10 Boys: Saturday morning U10 T20 Smash, starting at 8.30 am. (Hardball).‍

U11 Boys: Saturday morning U11 T20 Smash, starting at 8.30 am, (Hardball).

U12 Boys:  

• U12 T20 Smash-Saturday morning, starting at 8.30 am.
• U12 LO 30-Saturday afternoon, starting at 12.30 pm.

Note that trials will be held for the Saturday afternoon LO30 grade only

U13 Boys: (Half Season, Pre-Christmas only).

• T20 Smash-Saturday morning, starting at 8.30 am.
• LO 30-Saturday afternoon, starting at 12.30 pm

Note that trials will be held for the Saturday afternoon LO30 grade only

‍TEAM ALLOCATIONS

It is the Club’s policy that all players, from U10 -U13, must play in their correct grade as governed by their age (as at 1st April). However, if a player shows exceptional skills, then that player may play up one grade after seeking dispensation from the club manager.

A player must repeat playing in the U12 grade if he has been playing up a grade to U12 the previous season. He cannot play up to the U13 grade. This is because the U13 grade disbands at Christmas, as post-Christmas, those players play for their college.

Dispensation must be given by Auckland Cricket to those players who wish to play down a grade.

TEAM PRACTICE TIMES:

Weekly team coaching times will be set by each team's coach at the start of the season.

In addition, the Club holds a series of weekly pro coaching sessions for our U10 & U11 players at the Shore Road outdoor nets.

A team kit bag is provided for each of our U10-U13 teams, however many of our players elect to have their own gear.
